What is the recovery time?

For any procedure, the recovery time will be different for everyone as everyone’s bodies respond differently. Recovery will also depend on you resting, taking your medications timely and appropriately, and following your doctor’s instructions.

Do I need to remove my nail polish?

Yes, if you are seeing the doctor for foot or nail fungus and when going to surgery.

Do I need an x-ray?

Yes. If you are suffering from foot or ankle pain, our doctor will need an x-ray to identify possible fractures. Without an x-ray, it is impossible to determine whether a fracture exists.

Do you offer alternative treatments for foot/ankle pain?

Yes, we have recently invested in shockwave technology that will help with your foot and ankle pain. Please refer to our Services page to read more about our Radial Shockwave Therapy option.

Do you need my list of medications?

Absolutely. We also need medications that you are allergic to.

What should I bring to my first visit?

You should always bring your ID, DL, insurance card(s), referral if needed, and preferred of payment. Please be aware that we do not accept checks.

Can I pre-register online?

Yes, you can pre-register via our secure portal. At time of scheduling appointment, you will be asked for an email address where our EHR system will send a link for inputting all your information. You can safely upload photos of your insurance card(s). This process will help us help you get you in faster. Please include all required information such as demographics, medications, allergies, medical history, preferred pharmacy information, etc.

Do you take walk-ins?

Yes, we accept walk-ins when our schedule permits. Please call your preferred location to ensure we are taking walk-ins for the day.

Do you take self-pay patients?

Yes, we accept patients who do not have health insurance coverage.

Do you take my insurance?

We work with most insurance plans. Please refer to our Insurances page to find your specific insurance carrier.

Do you treat children?

Yes, at Foot Center of the Rio Grande Valley, Dr. Quach provides gentle, foot care for children of all ages.

Do I need a referral to schedule an appointment?

Some insurances do require a referral from your primary care provider. Please refer to our Insurances page to find your specific insurance carrier.
